Michael Arndt paints abstract watercolor, gouache, acrylic and oil paintings.
In his paintings he explores the interaction of layered color areas with surrounding and dissecting lines. These compositions are strongly influenced by the surroundings and his personal mood during the painting process. Michael has been influenced during his artistic career by the german expressionists (e.g. Emil Schumacher), american abstract expressionists (e.g. Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock) and contemporary artists such as Sean Scully, Somyot Hananuntasuk and Jo Bukowski
